An antique Cabinetto music box with punched paper rolls — A box that still takes a paper roll.

A punched player-piano roll moving over brass tracker bar — Paper moving over teeth, one line at a time.

A stack of boxed player-piano rolls — Rolls kept after the house went quiet.

A vintage piano roll on a museum instrument — The next turn of the same paper.
